Some days, you need dinner to cook itself ; because the kids are melting down, your brain is juggling 17 tabs, and your energy is running on fumes. That’s where Adom’s Ready-to-Cook Classic Jollof Rice Mix saves the day. It’s seasoned, pre-measured, and ready to go . There is no chopping, no blending, no fuss.
Just pour, stir, and let it do its thing. You’ll get rich, smoky, Nigerian Jollof goodness in under 20 minutes — and yes, the children will ask for seconds.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED (Serves 2-3):
1 pouch of Adom Classic Jollof Rice Mix
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups water
Optional: add mixed veggies, cooked chicken, shrimp, or whatever you’ve got in the fridge
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Boil Water with Oil: In a small saucepan, add 3 cups of water and 3 tablespoons of oil. Bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Add the Rice Mix: Once it’s boiling, pour in the entire Adom Jollof Rice Mix and stir well. Make sure the rice and spices are evenly combined.
Lower the Heat & Cover: Reduce heat to low, cover the pot with a tight lid, and let it simmer.
Stir Halfway: After about 7–10 minutes, give the rice a gentle stir to make sure all the seasoning is cooking through evenly.
Let it Finish Cooking: Let it cook for a total of 15–20 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed and the rice is tender.
Fluff & Serve: Turn off the heat and let it sit (still covered) for 5 minutes. Then fluff with a fork and serve hot.
CHEF’S TIP: Want heat? Go with the Spicy variant. Keeping it mild for the kids? Stick to the Mild variant. Either way, you’re getting full-bodied flavor without lifting more than a spoon.
Dinner = DONE.
Flavor = ON POINT.
Stress = OUT THE WINDOW.
Cook smart, not hard — with Adom.
