Growing up in Nigeria, I was surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of African cuisine. From the aromatic spices to the hearty stews simmering on the stove, every meal was a celebration of culture and community. But when life brought me to the United States, I found myself facing a familiar challenge—how to keep my heritage alive in a world that moves at lightning speed.

As a mom of five children, it was important for me to pass on the flavors of my childhood and instill in my family a love for African food. But let's be real—traditional recipes take time, and time is a luxury most of us don't have. I needed a solution—a way to simplify African cooking without sacrificing the authentic flavors I cherished.

And that's when it hit me—I could be the change I wanted to see. Drawing on my culinary roots and entrepreneurial spirit, I set out to create Adom Company—a brand dedicated to making African cuisine accessible to busy moms, students, and anyone who craves a taste of home.

The name "Adom" stems from my Ghanaian heritage as it is the twi word for "grace" . This name choice not only embodies my belief in the power of simplicity and the grace of God, but also draws from my multicultural heritage as a Nigerian-Ghanaian woman. Our products, which range from  ready-to-cook rice pouches to variety of herbal teas and flavorful hibiscus and ginger drinks, are a labor of love—a tribute to the flavors of Africa and the families who cherish them.

With Adom, cooking African meals is no longer a chore—it's a joy. Every product is carefully crafted to honor the rich culinary traditions of the continent, allowing families to savor the taste of home without the hassle.
