Cooking African meals is a beautiful mix of flavour, culture, and effort. The aromas, the spices, and the comfort of a well prepared dish make it special. Yet for many families today, the time and energy required can feel overwhelming.

For me, this became personal. As a mother of five, I wanted my children to grow up enjoying the rich flavours of home while navigating the pace of modern life. I loved cooking traditional meals, but balancing family life and daily responsibilities often meant spending less time in the kitchen than I wished.

A simple moment with my youngest son changed everything. Already hungry, he reached for a quick alternative and said, “African meals take too long to make.” That small, honest statement captured a reality many families face. When food takes too long, convenience wins, even if it is not the healthiest choice.

That moment sparked the beginning of The Adom Company. I set out to simplify African cooking without losing its heart. The goal was to create meals that are quick and easy to prepare, made with clean, natural ingredients, and still rich in the flavours we love. After many trials and taste tests, our first ready to cook meal was created. With it came a deeper purpose. To help families, students, and professionals enjoy nourishing meals without stress or compromise.

We work directly with small scale farmers, all of whom are women. These women play a vital role in growing and processing the ingredients behind our products. By sourcing responsibly, we create steady demand, reduce food waste, and support dignified livelihoods within their communities.
