About Us
Growing up in Nigeria, I was surrounded by the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of African cuisine. Each meal was an event—a celebration of culture, family, and community, where the air was filled with aromatic spices and the comforting warmth of hearty stews simmering on the stove. Yet when life brought me to the United States, I found myself facing a new challenge: how to keep these cherished traditions alive in a fast-paced world.
As a mom of five, it became even more essential for me to pass down the flavors of my childhood and nurture my family’s love for African food. But let’s be honest—traditional recipes can be time-consuming, and in today’s world, time is a rare luxury. I needed a way to bring the authentic taste of African cuisine to our table, without hours in the kitchen.
That’s when the idea for Adom Company was born. Inspired by my culinary roots and entrepreneurial drive, I set out to create a brand that makes African cuisine accessible to everyone, from busy parents to students and anyone longing for a taste of home.
The name “Adom” holds special meaning, drawn from my Ghanaian heritage. In Twi, Adom means “grace,” reflecting both the grace of simplicity and my belief in the beauty of tradition. As a Nigerian-Ghanaian woman, Adom Company embodies my multicultural roots, offering products crafted with love and authenticity. From ready-to-cook rice pouches to a variety of herbal teas and our flavorful hibiscus and ginger drinks, every item is a tribute to Africa’s culinary legacy and the families who cherish it.
With Adom, cooking African meals becomes a joy, not a chore. Each product is thoughtfully designed to honor the rich culinary traditions of the continent, letting you experience the authentic taste of home, effortlessly.
So here’s to flavor, tradition, and the shared experience of food.
Welcome to Adom Company—where the traditions of Africa blend seamlessly with the ease of modern life.
